Sound Mirrors

‘Sound mirrors’ is an installation which aims to highlight the unexpected quality of ambient sounds in space. A parabolic dish concentrates and captures the surrounding sounds. Simultaneously, they can be heard from a wooden piece on the other side of the space. The installation explores sound as an object’s feature, harvesting something seemingly mundane and turning it into an experience.
